Our History

St. Winifred’s Girls’ Secondary School, Ihugh is located at km 1 Ihugh-Vandeikya Road.

The portion of land upon which St. Winifred’s Girls’ Secondary School stands was originally acquired by then Rev. Fr. Titus Ashweh in the year 1996.

The school is named after the Parish (St. Winifred’s Parish Ihugh) that was established on the 27th day of October, 1987 by Rev. Father Anthony Kenny C.S.S.P. The school, however, was established by Rev. Fr. Herbert Bulbwa on the 10th day of October, 2005 in his capacity as the Parish Priest when he saw that there was no secondary school in this part of the state or zone to cater for the education of the girls so as to produce youths (girls) who would be transparently honest and religiously truthful to their various callings in life.

Our Mission

To provide christian education which could give rise to high moral standard and sound education to the girl-child.

To give the girl-child sound education to go teach all nations.
